Our Story — From Experience to PridePH

PridePH Domestic Staff was born from more than just an idea. It grew naturally from over two decades of experience, trust, friendship and a genuine understanding of life within a private household.

My journey began many years ago when I was fortunate enough to meet a wonderful family who would later become much more than employers to me. I joined them in Moscow and went on to work with the family for over 20 years, accompanying them through different stages of their lives and living and working with them in several countries.

As the years passed, the children I had helped care for grew up and gradually needed me less. But during those years, I had developed an incredible bond with my employer, Lisa.

Without really realising it at the time, the foundations of PridePH were already being built.

Over the years, Lisa’s friends and acquaintances would often ask if I knew someone reliable who could help their families. I found myself recommending nannies, housekeepers and other domestic staff, simply because I enjoyed helping good people find good families. I never charged for it—it was something I naturally loved doing.

Lisa saw the potential before I did. She would often encourage me, saying, “You should start your own agency.”

Eventually, I listened.

When the idea of PridePH began to take shape, Lisa became one of my greatest mentors and supporters. With her professional background in international recruitment and global HR, she initially advised and assisted me behind the scenes while I built the agency from the ground up.

As PridePH has grown, so has our partnership.

With the agency expanding and requiring more support, Lisa and I did what we have done for many years—we put our heads together. We decided that the time was right for her to take a more active role in the business.

Today, Lisa focuses on liaising with our clients, understanding their households, expectations and individual requirements. I concentrate on recruiting, interviewing and supporting our candidates, drawing on my own experience of what it means to work within a private family home.

Together, we understand both sides of domestic recruitment.

We understand what families expect from the people they welcome into their homes, but equally, we understand the qualities, experience and working environment that allow a great candidate to thrive.

That is what makes PridePH personal to us.

It is not simply about filling a vacancy. It is about bringing the right household and the right person together, with honesty, respect and understanding on both sides.

What began with one family, one friendship and many years of shared experience has grown into PridePH Domestic Staff—an agency built from the very world we now recruit for.
